Sweet Boys
I'm excited to see how much Baby J will look like Mr. M someday. He looks the most like M did as a baby, but I see the other two in him as well. He has the same nose Miss L and his eyes look like Lil' Guy's.
Mr. M is so in love. There was a time where he loved D this much too, before D decided to start stealing toys from him. Reminding him of that has helped him be a little nicer to Lil' Guy.

She's So Cute, I Couldn't Post Just One
When you meet Miss L, she almost seems as if she has no personality whatsoever. Her anxiety makes her shut down. Her eyes seem to sink back in her head, he shoulders slump, she seems so sad.
As soon as we walk away and are alone, she starts talking and singing and being a goofball. I adore her at-home personality and it will forever drive me crazy that no one but us has been able to see this side of her as a little girl. She's pretty awesome.
Miss L is doing so well in school. They may not know it because she is silent, but she is learning so quickly. She knows all of her sight words, she can sound out words quite well, she can read books with my help, she knows her numbers, etc. She is right on track. I wish they knew it and I'm working on fixing that with them.
She is a determined learner. She will stick to something until she has it down. She is also a perfectionist. Teaching her a new skill can be very wearing. Right now she is learning to blow bubblegum bubbles and to be honest it's making me a little crazy. She won't give up, but can't quite get it yet either. She gets so frustrated but won't take a break. That determination will help her a lot in life, I'm sure.
Miss L loves to learn how to take care of Baby J. She helps me change diapers. She is willing to do pretty much anything. I really think she wishes I would just get out of the picture and she could have him to herself.
Despite being shy, she is social. She loves being at school with her friends. She loves to be in groups of kids. She observes and internalizes everything!
She is NOT gullible. She will never be accused of blind faith. She asks questions and is very skeptical. I'm always impressed with her inquisitive manner.
Sometimes she is extremely loving and gives me a million hugs. She says, "I love mama!" She really wants a sister. She loves Baby J but gets so upset when we tell her the next baby could be a boy too.
I'm sure there are a million things I could add. I need to write down the little things she says incorrectly. I love her little lisp and her sweet voice. The thought of her growing up and me not getting to hear that sweet voice makes me so sad. She's our little angel. As much as I adore her, she has Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Sometimes I'm in shock at what he'll let her get away with. But really, how can anyone resist that little smile and smirk?
HIS Baby!
"He's MY baby! Not your baby!"
We hear this often.
Mr. D and Dad fight about it the most.
Here he is rocking HIS baby.
It's a Learning Process
We've had to have many talks about what is good for baby J and what is not.
Like cute little balloons filled with flour - although given to J as a gift - are not to be put in his bassinet with him.
And screaming and yelling in the babies ear is not ok. Luckily when he first came home he couldn't hear so we had a few days to practice this one.

Halloween 2013
This year the boys wanted to be Angry Birds. Actually Mr. D wanted to be an Angry Bird, then a dinosaur, then Ironman....about fifteen things. He even tried to change his mind AFTER I finished the costume. That was not happening.
These costumes were a lot of work but for the most part I enjoyed making them. To buy Angry Birds costumes online was extremely expensive. This was much cheaper. I finished these a day or two before the baby came. Maybe these are the reason I went into labor...lots of getting up and down off the floor, which was my workspace.
Mr. M. told me he'd be happy with his no matter how it turned out. When the face came out a little small he did a great job of not seeming bothered by it. I knew he was though, because I was, so we fixed the dead space by putting Chuck's name on there. He loved it!
Me making costumes is probably not the best idea. They kept trying to not wear things or change their minds and I was like, "I put HOURS into that, and you are wearing it whether you like it or not!" That, my friends, is why I don't spend much time making things FOR the kids and instead spend time making things with them or just playing with them.
Some friends gave us the princess dress and Miss L and I made her hat. She loved it but didn't want to wear it (and yes, the conversation above applied). Daddy actually wore it half the time when mom wasn't around to fight it. It was funny. She was not into posing for the pic.
Mr. D was the cutest Bomb ever. :)
It was pouring rain that night. They weathered the storm and had a blast.
Mr. D was the cutest little tricker treater ever. I loved listening to him at the door as he talked to people. His cute little voice and the way he words things, is adorable.
Miss L was dead silent. Shocker, right?
Mr. M even tried to trick or treat to other trick or treaters. It was hilarious.
They came home completely drenched. I was pleased with how the costumes held up! I even glued them back together and now they hang on the boys' bedroom wall as décor.
All-in-all we had a great Halloween!
Life as Usual
We've been adjusting around here.
We miss my mom.
J especially has had a hard time. He spent a lot of time with her while I was running around like a maniac. I think I know what it feels like to have a nanny. One thing I've noticed this time around, life does not slow down when you have four. When I brought D home, I had no kids in school. My schedule could be easily rearranged to work around the Lil' Guy. Not so much this time. Six a.m. rolls around very quickly.
We also have had seven doctor's appointments since he was born. Seven between all of us, not just for the baby. Everyone is healthy, we've just had a lot going on.
Lil' J had some jaundice so he spent a lot of time half-naked in front of the window. Everything about him is just so sweet.
These people are very in love with him. Sometimes getting them out the door for school is difficult. Who wouldn't want to stay home and cuddle with this guy? I'm glad they love him so much even if I fear he'll be mauled to death.

Spiderman!
For playgroup Mr. D dressed up as Spiderman. He wore it all day. Everywhere we went people addressed him as Spiderman. He'd get so mad, "I not Spiderman! I D!" I tried to explain to him why people were doing that, he did not understand.
Whether he's Spiderman or Mr. D, he looks cute!
I couldn't resist taking some silly pics with the cutest Spiderman I've ever seen. We have a fun view finder on our camera that we like to play with sometimes.
Being Spiderman must have been hard work!

Miss Arteest and The Paleontologist
Miss L wants to be an artist when she grows up.
So for Career Day at school, we painted.
Mr. M wants to be a paleontologist. So I made replicas of the tools he'd need.
We were excited with how they turned out.
