Bowling and Dancing, Two of My Favorites!

Cabe's work had a bowling party.

I love to watch Lil' Guy roll his down and watch with anticipation.  So cute.

 

The next night: 

Some friends organized a church dance.  It had a black and white theme, which I obviously forgot about.  But Miss L really opens up when dressed like a fairy or princess so I had that on my mind.

 Look how excited they were to go.

 

 Then we arrive and this is what we get. 

I did get them to dance with me.  It was exhausting but I managed to take turns dancing with all three of them almost the entire time.  I slept very well that night.

 Miss L's friend came later in the night, and once Miss L relaxed, they had a ball.

Other grown-ups joined in the fun too.  These people are so sweet.  It gave me a much needed break.

The youth of our ward are fantastic.  They made sure everyone was asked to dance - even my friend Molly and I, whose hubby's ditched out.  I'm glad my kids get to see their example.

 

Games of Acadiana!

They have this really awesome cancer service around here called Miles Perret Cancer Services. 

They have a huge, free event every year at the Cajun Dome. 

It was a little too packed for me and Miss L.  She wouldn't do anything. Next year we'll probably just send one adult and one kid at a time.

I just liked his little cheeks.  So sweet.

 

Angry Birds was by far our favorite game.

Later that day Mr. M had a birthday bash to go to.  I'm learning that in LA kid birthdays are big family/friend parties where it's just as much a party for the adults as the kids.

This slide was huge!  Twenty-eight feet or something and it was packed with kids.  Mr. M had a blast!  I had to drag the kid out of there.

We've had a lot of busy weekends lately.  It's been fun creating all the memories.

We Ate Frog Legs!

Well we tried alligator months ago...nummy!

Now we gave frog legs a shot.

I didn't love them as much, but they are good.

Since I don't really eat fried foods and I didn't LOVE them, this will only be a one-time thing.  But it was worth the try.

The Trip Home - Me vs. Three

Mr. M sobbed, and I mean sobbed, through the entire airport.  He was very upset to be leaving.  He finally calmed down when we were on the plane.

All I can remember now about Lil' Guy (I think I blocked it all out) is that he wanted to crawl around on the floor. 

 

A girl who never spoke one word the entire three weeks to anyone except me (and she whispered to me the entire time) was crazy on the airplane.  She sang and sang and talked really loud.  She sang, "We are driving, we are driving (down the runway), we are flying, we are flying."  The lady in front actually shushed her she was so loud.  I just thought, "Oh ma'am if you only knew what a miracle this is."

 

I brought pipe cleaners on the plane. Best. Thing. Ever.

Miss L and I made crowns out of them.  

The boys and I made aliens and monkeys.  We even shared with other kiddos so our whole section was pleasant.  It was a fun flight.

 

Our flight was delayed a little so I was very happy for the playground. There were also a few moments where I was really stressed at the Dallas airport.  I can't remember exactly what was happening.  I do remember Lil' Guy jumping and falling and flying all over the tram as it moved us from one side of the airport to the other.  Other then that, I have few memories.

Isn't this pic sweet?  They have a sweet relationship that I think is exemplified in this photo. 

I was so happy Mr. M was not so sad anymore.   

I love seeing things through their eyes.  M's flown before but this time he was more aware.   

Utah and family we miss you but we are happy to be home.

Camping in Lake Creek

We were able to spot a lot of deer. 

The kids built all kinds of forts. 

A little walk. 

The big fort Grandpa and mother nature helped to build. 

Playing games with Mommy and Grandma while Grandpa grilled Tilapia and baked zucchini.  At home I struggle to get Miss L to eat the Tilapia, out camping, she loved it, go figure. 

It was such a nice evening.  The temperature was fantastic, the company was great.  We enjoyed out last little excursion before flying out the last day.

I only keep this one cuz my Aunt is making me look so skinny. LOL.

Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.

That is we've been known by since we were little.   

 We spent many hours together as families when we were little.  I miss them all!

We spent hours playing dolls and now look at us!  Seven real ones between the two of us.  

Baby-sitting Baby K

The kids and I were able to baby-sit Baby K. See how excited Mr. M was!?

Did I mention my kids are in love with this baby. 

I couldn't get over how tiny she was. 

 She is so precious.  We miss her.

Lil' D was a smidge jealous, but that is to be expected.  He did lay on the bed with me and look at her though.  All three of them kept running into where I had laid her and they would stare and stare.  My babies loves babies as much as I do!
